Summary

This is the the first special regional edition of World Press Trends, focusing on the most dynamic regions of China, India and South-East Asia in the most dynamic media continent in the last decade.

At the same time, WPT China, India and South-East Asia is the first publication of the new organisation, the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers (WAN-IFRA). The World Association of Newspapers and IFRA, the leading international associations for print and digital news publishing, have merged into WAN-IFRA, effective July 1, 2009.

This publication contains reports on 25 countries. In addition to the country reports, WPT China, India and South-East Asia includes a wealth of summaries that provide a detailed picture of the newspaper market in this region.
